Rules and Regulations

The School has been established to cater to the educational requirements of the wards of Army personnel. Consequently, children of serving Army personnel coming on transfer from out station will not be denied admission at any time of the year subject to availability of seat and student qualifying in the Entrance Examination.

School admits boys and girls of above 03 years of age.

Age Limit

Where state rules are not being enforced, the age of a student on first admission to various classes in Army Public Schools shall be regulated as indicated below.

* Age Criteria (NEP 2020). Student who has taken admission under State Govt Age Relaxation Policy will have to submit an Affidavit copy submitted in Previous School along with TC endorsing that the admission has been granted under Age Relaxation policy.

A student coming from another recognized school shall not be admitted to a class higher than the one in which he/she was studying at his/her former school, unless promoted to the next higher class at the end of the academic session.

No provisional admission is permitted under any circumstances.

Priorities of Admission

(Article 192 of Rules and Regulations for Army Public School)

The priorities for admission subject to availability of seats will be as under:-

(a) Children of serving Army personnel including DSC (Ex-Army), children of Army widows, children of those TA personnel who have a minimum of 5 years embodied service and children of serving NCC Whole Time Lady Officer (WTLO)

(b) Children of Ex-Army personnel retired/invalided out of medical grounds with pension, DSC personnel retired with pension from DSC and NCC Whole Time Lady Officer (WTLO) retired with pension.

(c) Children of serving Air Force, Naval and Coast Guard personnel.

(d) Children of retired Air Force, Naval Coast Guard personnel.

(e) Children of Ex-Army personnel who left Army with less than 10 years of service and not categorized as ESM.

(f) Children of civilian paid out of Defence Estimates, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Assam Rifles, MES, GREF, TA (when not embodied).

(g) Grand children of serving/retired Army personnel.
